Metroid Prime Hunters No Expansions Low% [RetroAchievements]

I had a bit to say about the demo of this game

First Hunt, but at least they got the Morphball

controls fixed. This is Metroid Prime Hunters

where the main selling point is all the extra

Bounty Hunters running around. This game

definitely lives below the other Metroid games

of its kind, but it makes all of the fun back with

the multiplayer mode. Of course, I haven't tried

playing the game without collecting any expansions before, so this might play quite differently. I will be going through the RetroAchievements for this game so I will be going back around for all the collectables afterwards. That and now having the perfect excuse to mess around in multiplayer mode.

  • The games I pick will be picked on the fly. There is no knowing what I will be playing ahead of time.

  • There is no schedule for what days I will be uploading parts. It will depend a lot on the game I chose and the extra time I have available.

Star Fox Assault [RetroAchievements]

Star Fox Assault_base.jpg

I remember this being my favorite Star Fox game of the series. It is definitely the coolest looking Star Fox game. Initial impressions are making me think that I'm just tripping on nostalgia though. Then why do I keep needing to play more? This game lets you climb out of your ship to be able to handle things on the ground as you face Aparoidedation by the Aparoids.

Let's Play Hacks

Super Mario 74 Extreme Edition [RetroAchievements] (Sudo Flex Series at this point)

It is fair to say that this is a well known

Super Mario 64 hack, made by Lugmillord

(at least the regular version). This is part

of a set of 3 hacks based around the same

timeline/universe. Extreme Edition is the

2nd of the 3 and is designed to be very

hard. I learned about this hack from a top 3 hardest Super Mario 64 hacks that are barely realistic to play without savestates list. This game doesn't seem to even be ramping up the difficult level to extreme, it is just starting at extreme. I don't know if it is going to ramp up the difficulty on top of that, but there is only one way to find out. It has 157 stars to collect and I've got RetroAchievements working so I'll be tackling those as well. This game also came with a readme file describing 56 "medals" or more achievements designed by Lugmillord himself that he didn't know how to implement into the game. I'll see how I feel about adding those in too after the RetroAchievements are done.

Kaizo Mario Galaxy

This hack was created by

thegreatwaluigi. This a rebalanced

version of the original hack that fixes

some buggy elements of the first hack

and features some quality of life

improvements. This is my first Wii hack

and it has been a long time for me since playing any Mario Galaxy game. This hack is similar to the Kaizo Mario 64 hack in that it takes the original game stars and adds twists to the stars to make them harder. How much harder is still to be seen as the early stars are still somewhat managable.

Long Streams

I've only played some of Dark Souls II

for similar game styles to this. I

eventually stopped playing it because

I would waste so much time being

lost not knowing where to go. I had a

lot of fun with the game, but when

Bloodborne was first being annouced

as a more "sword" and gun style

game that sounded much more up

my alley. I never figured out how to

make spells work in Dark Souls II. So

to this day I've avoided Bloodborne

content to the point where I still only know that it a more "sword" and gun style game. I know nothing else going into this. I've brought on my friend Liam (Dopeypoke) to help me out a bit with navigating and plan to see if it truely was worth the work to be able to play this game.

This a game that I've been interested in playing since it came out in March of 2015. The big problem was that I've never owned a Playstaion of any kind and this is a Playstation exculsive. I remember thinking early on that surely it would eventually get a PC port of some kind right? Well 10 years later I just bought the game as promise to myself that I would somehow play it. About 2 weeks or so later, while looking at what renting a PS4 would look like I stumbled upon a super cheap PS4 that was also at half price ($45 in the end) and was told that it was at least functional. That it was when it arrived. It also was completely gutted of all it accessories. It had no power supply, no HDMI cable, no internal hard drive, no internal hard drive loading bay, and the top lid of the console was barely attached. I had to get parts and do some repairs to get it working, so I got what I paid for in the end. It still was way cheaper in the end, but it could run Bloodborne (if the disc was already loaded when I turn it on) and I'm very happy.

Hollow Knight Challenge Runs (Long Term Project)

This is my current favorite game of all time. I'm not done with this game yet. There are a couple leftover achievements to work on. I'm clearly excited to do a hitless Pantheon 5 once the achievenments are done. This game isn't going to go anywhere for a while. Maybe Silksong will come out at some point while I keep myself busy.

FTL Faster Than Light  (So Good To Be Back On The Menu)

Welcome to FTL. This strategy game is by far has the most thought out story arc, line, circle, whatever you want to call it. There are so many twists and turns your path may take playing this game. That and the mechanics of the game are just so much fun. You really could play this game forever. I hope you will enjoy and maybe even pick up the game yourself.

plan to slowly work my way through all of them. The games will be completely blind once I get to the 3rd game.

Long Stream Series: Resident Evil 3 (Remake)

This is a series that I quickly came to

appriciate as I came across multiple

streams and let's plays of these

games. In addition, the number of

friends I have that haven't touched

this series keeps dwindling and dwindling. I knew that this would be a game I would enjoy playing and most of my friends would love to see me play it too. That's how I wound up here streaming with an open discord channel, so that anyone can pitch in and hangout as I embark on this game. To give a bit of background 1, 2, 5, & 6 are ones that I am familiar with; 3 & 4 are less familiar; 7 is uncharted territory. I expect these games to challenge me on their higher difficulty setting and I love a challenge. Resident Evil 3 is where is start to get foggy having only seen the original maybe 2 times. I've seen some gameplay of RE3 Remake, but not enough to fully know what is in store for me. This is going to have a different feel from RE2 Remake, but if it is a good a remake, then I should have a blast.
